- Thank God, I was there… in the unemployed stage
Right after my graduation, I did nothing, I even had no idea what to do at that time — even when my friends were busy seeking jobs. Perhaps I was still a bit vague, cos some of my friends were still working on their thesis to be graduated. Thus I thought I was just a student who finished my task earlier, and I have free time to accompany my friends around. No more than a month after my post-graduation illusion, more people asked me “What do you do now?” It made me uncomfortable and second guessing myself. Some of my friends instantly answered, “I am preparing for my master’s degree now”. As we get anxious when we don’t prepare for the test in class, perhaps I was simply uncomfortable because I didn’t do any research on what people should do after graduation. One thing still clear in my mind at that time was, “I won’t take this master’s degree just to answer those questions instantly”. Instead, I tried to apply for several job vacancies and keep answering those questions with “I am jobless”. In the more advanced mental stage, I even could answer those questions with harmless jokes. - Is this the only thing that xx jobs can do?
As we meet more people, we need to empathize with more people, their needs, and interests (professionally). As we empathize with people, we watch and learn how they do their work, and how the ideal result of those works. Turns out, not all people are able to do those works with the ideal result. Less than that, some people don’t even know how to do their work and the basic logic of their core business. Job title doesn’t define someone’s work and its quality. In fact, I need to work with someone to define how he does the work. However, a job title makes a contribution to building up confidence, and confidence is the best marketing strategy, isn’t it? - hey, is it right? The road I’m walking
I realize when this question comes up in my mind, it doesn’t mean I’m doing the wrong things. This is just a never-ending question for many people. Sometimes it comes because of the tiredness of everything (including the boredom). Rather than impulsively take a contrast, (as we’re getting older and less energy), we don’t take this phase seriously. We understand we choose the path where we can bear the hell on it. Cos it’s easy if we’re just talking about the cherry blossom on the path. - my high school crush said, “You are the captain of your soul”
It’s never too late to have a new ambition, to turn to another path. It all depends on the ratio of the way of the new path and the effort to get the new path, at the right time. - no need to take things personally
People are just projecting, don’t take things personally. If you think you did great, not break the rules, and against others, people’s response just reflects the way their inner judge people to them. - no matter what’s your major, we need to learn management
The more we grow, the more money we can enjoy and spend from and on this earth. As a return, the more failure and drama we face. But as we have a wider priority scale, we don’t see those failures and dramas, cos after a failure, we need to do another role in another field. Thus we need to manage our emotions and energy for other things. Those failures and drama are not really that big anymore for us. - need to have enough sleep to finish the work well
Whatever happens, no matter how much I need to finish business, I need to sleep enough to stay sane and fully function to finish my work. - no need to finish all my coffee in the coffee shop
Of course, this is not advice or facts you need to figure out. This is just a week ago when I was in a random coffee shop. I ordered an iced latte, and when I thought I had enough time to go back home but I still didn’t finish my coffee, I decided to leave it. HEHEHE
